By editing and recombining photographic imagery collected from digital media, art history and her own phone, she makes collages which she uses in the work with the paintings. Rognerud explores femininity, both historically and in the digital age, and how sexuality, self-perception and identity are shaped by images and digital media. As an extension of her interest in repetition, shifting value and how images move between different contexts, she has recently begun to experiment with technology such as 3D modelling and printing, robotics and coding.
